Real Bronze Multipoint Handles
These beautiful real bronze multipoint handles, are real, sandcast bronze handles and look stunning on any front door.
The bronze door handles in the photo are the CR 2108-E Oxford Multipoint Handles and work a “multipoint locking mechanism”, this is the type of lock where the handle has to be pushed upwards to lock and are available either bolt-fix or screw-fix.
Most multipoint handles are lightweight and made of cheap metal; these chunky handles are real sandcast bronze, British made and individually finished by hand; they are also available in cast brass, other types of real bronze and also applied finishes and plates.
This isn’t a bronze “finish” on brass, but is real, traditionally sandcast bronze, which is British made, with each one individually finished by hand.
These bronze door handles are available in three types of real bronze – Tudor Bronze (as shown in the photo), Real Antique Bronze and Polished Bronze (gunmetal).
The Tudor bronze in the photo is real sandcast bronze. The bronze is aged and barrell-rolled to give a slightly pitted effect, making this finish more rustic in appearance.
The “real antique bronze” is sandcast bronze, which is aged prematurely in a kiln and then polished by hand. This gives a beautiful patinated finish and also brings out the rainbow colours often seen in bronze.
Polished bronze is again sandcast bronze, which is polished up to a very high sheen. Rather than the brown patinated colour of antique bronze, polished bronze (often known as gunmetal) is a “coppery” colour, with a hint of pink.
These levers are also available in cast brass and many other plated and applied finishes and mounted on many different styles of backplate and rose, to suit mortice locks and latches.
